Moroccan face routine
"Moroccan face routine" means a routine built around two principles: gentle cleansing, and hydration with the lipids the skin asks for in dry climates. The tradition in Souss-Massa has used a wash plus a natural hydrator for centuries, usually argan, prickly pear or rhassoul clay, never five active acids stacked on top of each other. The reason is climate: Morocco has dry air for part of the year, much like Bosnia under central heating in winter. In that climate, the skin needs a stable barrier first, and additional steps second. The AMAAN cleanser and the AFOULKI cream are the modern version of exactly that two-step Moroccan routine.
The two-step face routine
The two-step face routine is the simplest base that actually works: a cleanser and a cream. Everything between (toners, essences, additional serums) only makes sense if your skin already sits well on the base. If the skin tightens after washing or shows fine dehydration lines mid-day, the problem isn't a missing serum. The problem is that the foundation isn't set yet.
