How to Spot Real, Pure Argan Oil
The most reliable argan oil check starts on the label, not with price, colour or scent.
Read the INCI first
A single-ingredient argan oil has one INCI line: Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil. If the label lists additional oils, fragrance, silicones or other ingredients, it is a formula containing argan rather than single-ingredient argan oil.
What else to check
- Whether the intended use is stated clearly.
- Whether volume, the responsible company and origin are readable.
- Whether production-method claims are supported by the merchant's records.
- Whether the seller explains clearly how the product is used.
Colour and scent are not universal tests
Colour, scent, packaging and price do not prove composition on their own. They can describe a particular bottle, but the label remains the first check.
What is confirmed for the AZOURANE bottle
The label has one ingredient. The oil is first press, unrefined and made by traditional cold pressing. It comes from Morocco's Souss-Massa region. It is pale gold, nutty in scent and absorbs quickly.
