AMAAN is the gentle cleanser for an everyday routine. Morning or evening, it takes the day off your face and leaves it clean without that tight, stripped feeling that makes you reach for a moisturiser out of panic rather than habit.
What it washes with
The two surfactants doing the work are coco glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine. There is no sulfate anywhere in the ingredient list, which is why the lather is modest: a soft, low foam rather than a squeak. Aloe barbadensis leaf juice sits fourth and glycerin fifth, both high enough on the list to matter, and behind them comes the xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol trio that holds water in the surface layers while you rinse. The pH is measured at 5.0 to 5.5, which is where skin's own surface sits.
Two hundred millilitres, a transparent liquid, and the scent is cucumber. The cucumber is the scent. Hussam has washed his own face with it for months and it does not sting the eyes.
How to use it
- One pump into wet hands, then onto a wet face.
- Work it over the skin for a few seconds. No scrubbing, no pressure.
- Rinse with lukewarm water.
- Carry on with whatever you already use next.
Where it sits in a routine
Cleansing is the first step and the one that decides how the rest behaves. A cleanser that takes too much away leaves skin that cannot absorb anything properly afterwards. AMAAN clears the surface and leaves it ready, so an oil or a mask after it has something to work on. If you want the two step version, follow it with 100% argan oil on damp skin.
