AZOURANE is made by women's cooperatives in southwestern Morocco. Every ingredient is declared, every source is known, and the active formulas contain no alcohol, no pork-derived ingredients, and no animal testing.

We are not officially halal-certified. What we are: transparent about every ingredient, faithful to old Moroccan recipes, and proud that the skincare our family uses is something yours can use too.

No alcohol in active formulas
No ethanol, no alcohol denat. Aloe, glycerin, AQUAXYL, and plant oils carry hydration instead of volatile carriers.

No pork-derived ingredients
No pork collagen, gelatin, or rendered fats. Active emollients are plant-based: shea, argan, prickly pear, with goat milk in the TAYRI soap.

Never tested on animals
No AZOURANE product is tested on animals, in Morocco or in BiH. The women in the cooperatives test the formulas on themselves.

Every product has a visible ingredient list on its PDP and on the physical packaging. If checking matters to you, it is all there.

Are AZOURANE products halal-certified?
Not yet. We have not gone through the formal halal certification process. What we can confirm: active formulas contain no alcohol, no pork-derived ingredients, and are not tested on animals. The full INCI list is publicly available on every product page.
Can I use AZOURANE during Ramadan?
Yes. Our products are applied to the skin, not ingested. Hydrating the face and hands during the fasting day does not affect the validity of the fast according to most scholars. If you have a specific question, please consult your imam.
What about the goat milk in TAYRI soap?
Goat milk is a halal ingredient. The goats in the Souss-Massa cooperatives live freely and the milk is collected traditionally. If you would like sourcing details, write to us at hussam@weareazourane.com.
Can I use AZOURANE under hijab?
AMAAN and AFOULKI are lightweight formulas that absorb quickly and leave no greasy film. Many women who wear hijab choose them for exactly that reason: no heaviness, no marks on fabric. Cotton and silk hijabs are compatible with our textures.
