Souss-Massa, Morocco

From Morocco to Sarajevo. Straight from the cooperatives.

Every bottle, every soap, every drop of argan oil we sell comes from women's cooperatives in southwestern Morocco. No middlemen. No industrial processing. No dilution.

Morocco is not a marketing word on our label. From Morocco is our supply chain, our contract, and the reason we cost more than the big brands that put argan in plastic bottles for 12 KM.

The Souss-Massa region

Southwestern Morocco, between the Atlantic and the Atlas. The argan tree grows only here. UNESCO recognized the knowledge of Berber women about this tree as intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2014.

Our supply cooperatives are in the triangle between Agadir, Tiznit and Taroudant. Women there hand-press argan, render shea butter, dry prickly pear, and mix aker fassi the way their grandmothers did before them.

We have been there. We tried what we buy. We saw the income going to women instead of foreign brands.

The journey from Morocco to Sarajevo

We order directly from the cooperatives. Raw materials and finished products travel by ship from the Casablanca port to Rijeka, then by truck to Sarajevo. Customs and taxes are paid officially, the documentation is transparent.

That is why we know exactly where every gram comes from. That is why every shipment arrives with fresh dates, not warehouse stock from two years ago.

Our story

Hussam started AZOURANE because he wanted Morocco to come to Bosnia in a way that does not humiliate either side. The full story is in Our story.
