Souss and the knowledge behind argan

Knowledge passed between generations in Souss, the home of argan and our founder.

In southwestern Morocco, knowledge of argan passes between generations. Women play an important role in preserving the craft of extracting its oil and its place in daily life. UNESCO added this tradition to its intangible cultural heritage list in 2014.

Souss, where our story begins

Hussam, AZOURANE's founder, comes from Souss. Today, we develop and make our products through a network of more than 160 cooperatives across Morocco, with both women and men taking part.

Argan in your care

Our 100% argan oil is cold-pressed and unrefined. A few drops soften skin, smooth hair ends and condition cuticles.
