Sensitive Skin Care: A Practical Guide for Bosnia and Herzegovina

Tightness, stinging, redness, or discomfort can appear for different reasons. For daily care, start with the basics: gentle cleansing, fewer new products, and consistent sun protection.

What sensitive skin can mean

How to read a label without fear

Fragrance and aromatic ingredients. Some skin tolerates them and some does not. If you already know fragranced formulas cause discomfort, choose a fragrance-free product.

Not all alcohols are the same. Alcohol denat. and fatty alcohols such as cetyl, stearyl, and cetearyl alcohol perform different jobs in a formula. One word on a label is not enough to judge the whole product.

Cleansing agents. Rich foam is not proof of better cleansing. What matters is how skin feels after rinsing: clean, but not unnecessarily tight.

Active ingredients. Retinoids and acids call for careful introduction, especially when skin is already stinging or flaking. If you use a prescription, are pregnant, or have a diagnosed condition, check with your clinician or pharmacist first.

A calm two-step routine

1. Cleanse without rough rubbing. Use lukewarm water, massage briefly, and pat with a soft towel.

2. Hold on to moisture. Apply a small amount of a familiar product while skin is slightly damp. If you want a simple oil step, AZOURANE 100% Argan Oil contains one ingredient: Argania spinosa kernel oil. A few drops are enough for the face and targeted dry areas.

Introduce only one new product and give your skin a few days to show you how it suits.
