How to Use Argan Oil on Your Face: Order, Drops and Mistakes

Use argan oil on the face in a very small amount, as the final step. Start with one drop. Add more only if needed.

Five application steps

  1. Cleanse your face and pat it dry.
  2. If you use a moisturiser, apply it before the oil.
  3. Place one drop in your palm. Add a second or third only if needed.
  4. Press the oil gently onto the face without rubbing hard.
  5. During the day, use sun protection as a separate step.

How much is enough

Start with one drop for the whole face. More is not better. If one drop is not enough for even application, add a second, then a third only if needed.

What this oil does

Argan oil is an emollient: it softens and smooths the skin. AZOURANE oil is first press, unrefined, pale gold and nutty in scent. It absorbs quickly, while a fine natural trace can remain because it is an oil.

Three easy mistakes to avoid

  1. Using too much at once. Start with one drop.
  2. Using oil as the whole routine. It is a final step, not a replacement for every other product.
  3. Judging composition by colour or scent alone. Read the INCI label first.

Can argan oil replace sun protection?

No. Sun protection is a separate step in a daytime routine.
