Allergens, product by product.

Updated 27 July 2026

Six substances from the EU declaration list appear in our INCI lists: linalool, coumarin, geraniol, citronellol, hexyl cinnamal and benzyl alcohol. Alongside those, almond oil is in four products, shea butter in four, hydrolyzed wheat protein in one, beeswax in one and hydrolyzed marine collagen in one. The table below covers all thirteen products.

How the EU list works

Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products requires certain fragrance substances to be named in the ingredient list once they are present above a threshold: 0.001 % in leave on products and 0.01 % in rinse off products. The list of those substances is Annex III of the regulation, available in the European Commission's CosIng database.

A name on the list means the substance is present above that threshold. It does not say how much is there, because concentration is stated neither on an INCI list nor on the specifications we hold, so we publish no percentage.

If you have a confirmed allergy, the full INCI list for every product is on the Ingredients and allergens page and on each product page, and you can show it to your doctor. For anything this page does not answer, call 061 662 581 or write to hussam@weareazourane.com.

Where the data comes from

  • INCI lists: the manufacturer technical specifications, one per formula.
  • The list of substances that must be named: Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, via the European Commission's CosIng database.
  • The declaration thresholds, 0.001 % and 0.01 %: the same regulation.
  • AMAAN Duo and AMAAN Trio: packs of the AMAAN cleanser, so they inherit its INCI list.

Questions and answers

Which products list fragrance in the INCI?

Fragrance is listed in the INCI for AMAAN and its packs, ALJIG, ANU, TAFUKT and TIFAWT. The declared fragrance allergens in those lists are hexyl cinnamal in AMAAN, linalool in ALJIG, citronellol, geraniol and linalool in ANU, and linalool and coumarin in TIFAWT.

Which products contain almond oil?

The TAFUKT polish, the TIFAWT mask, the AZGGAGH balm and the LHRIR conditioner. It appears in the INCI as Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Almond) Oil.

I have a tree nut allergy. What should I check?

Almond oil in TAFUKT, TIFAWT, AZGGAGH and LHRIR, and shea butter in TAFUKT, ANU, AZGGAGH and LHRIR. Shea butter comes from the fruit of the shea tree. Show the full list to your doctor before use.

Which products are not vegan?

The ANNAY serum contains hydrolyzed marine collagen and the AZGGAGH balm contains beeswax. Both ingredients are animal derived.

What is linalool?

Linalool is a fragrance component that occurs in many plant oils. On the EU list it is one of the substances that must be named once present above the threshold. In our range it appears in the INCI for ALJIG, ANU and TIFAWT.

Why is benzyl alcohol on an allergen list if it is a preservative?

Benzyl alcohol is both a permitted preservative and a substance on the EU declaration list. In our formulas it is listed in a preservative role, and it is still named because it sits on that list. It is present in AMAAN and its packs, ANU, ANNAY, IHLA, LHRIR and TIFAWT.

Do you publish allergen concentrations?

No, because the specifications we hold do not state them. An INCI list gives the order by share down to one percent, not an exact figure. A name on the list means the substance is above the declaration threshold.

Where is the full INCI list?

On the Ingredients and allergens page and on each product page. Measured pH values are on the pH values page.
